Jump into the Vitacca studios with us this Summer for a week technical and artistic growth!

ABOUT

Vitacca Ballet opens its 23/24 Season on October 20 with SOWN, a program featuring a brand-new pointe creation from Hélène Simoneau, an exciting reimagine of Grey Horses by choreographer Robyn Mineko-Williams (originally created for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago), and the thrilling extension of Hypnotic Forces from brilliant Resident Choreographer Garrett Smith. 

As part of Vitacca Ballet's annual Curtain & Cocktails event, all SOWN ticket holders are welcome to join in the MATCH Gallery for a post-performance mixer to meet the artists and enjoy complimentary mocktail/cocktails with music by DJ G-Funk.

In our most ambitious season yet, Vitacca Ballet brings to the stage five world premieres, two unique Houston premieres, and a film for dance throughout the 2023/2024 Season.

LAUNCH is an evening dedicated to Vitacca Ballet’s launch into the Houston arts scene. Our debut full length production features an evening of original works, including a highly anticipated World Premiere titled Hypnotic Forces by International Guest Choreographer Garrett Smith. This fresh and diverse evening of contemporary ballet is one not to be missed. 

Vitacca Ballet brings to life new works created especially in and for Houston. Join the energy and see works by Artistic Director Kelly Ann Vitacca, Ballet Mistress Tina Kay Bohnstedt, and Guest Choreographer Madison Hicks. Audience favorite Somewhat Closer by Garrett Smith will also be returning to the stage.

Houston’s contemporary ballet company showcases a fresh experience which brings vibrant energy to the Houston and Texas arts scene.

Join us on Wednesday, November 3 from 9:30–11am for an exciting Advanced Contemporary class with Vitacca Ballet season choreographer, Garrett Smith. Garrett Smith is an international choreographer with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts industry. He has choreographed original works for companies around the world such as The Bolshoi Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Les Grands Ballet de Montreal, Norwegian National Ballet, Houston Ballet, National Ballet de Bordeaux, amongst many others including the hit Netflix series "Tiny Pretty Things."

Our annual Night At The Ballet with Vitacca Dance Project will again grace the Bender stage and will feature Vitacca Professional Ballet dancers. Vitacca fosters emerging dancers, choreographers and educators through world-class coaching, artistic collaborations, and professional performances that advance dance as a medium and provoke thought.
